This private residence, designed by Norman Foster, is arranged around a glass-enclosed dining room that protrudes into a central garden. Because the installation would be visible from every wing of the house, it was important to offer a sculpture that was visually unique from each vantage. Along its length, it appears as a series of layered panels with softly undulating edges. From the end, the sculpture is perceived as a compact series of rolling waves or unfurling petals.
